The core market for the so-called pro-AV practitioners, installing AV equipment for permanent installations. Represented by everyone from sole traders through to multi-million outfits with offices throughout the UK.
The entry level systems are often called 'bang and hang' (bang in a screw and hang the projector) which refers to simple front projection systems. They are also characterised by low prices and lower margins as these are true commodity items for buyers.
Rearpro (jargon for rear projection) systems often represent more middle and top ends of the budget scale. They are characterised by infinitely superior image and installation quality – and represent both better results for the end user and better margin for the dealer.
