dnp front screen in mall

12/05/2008

Brightly lit shopping malls were no challenge for Supernova Infinity – or Videofilm Systems Inc — when Brass Mill Center in Connecticut and Natick Mall in Massachusetts wanted to highlight the accomplishments of the U.S.

Navy with large-screen displays designed to honour Navy mothers.

But with high ambient light levels from over-head skylights, the task was daunting for almost any screen – except Supernova.

“Due to the incredible performance and light-rejecting capability of the dnp
Supernova Screen, we were able to deliver a dynamic presentation,” says Dale
Cihi, owner of Videofilm Systems, whose company installed three Supernova Infinity displays for their customer, Hadley Media — each made up of four component screens.

Economical, safe and easy, the screens were mounted in a semi-permanent fas-
hion onto aluminium panels that were raised into position using a scissor lift and
suction grips. Steel frames mounted to the steel I-beams in the malls hold the
screens safely in place, with steel locator pins holding each individual screen.

At the end of the rental, the screens will be removed and used for other projects.
“The professional packing and shipping methods employed by dnp allowed us to
make our tight time schedule. Every screen arrived in perfect condition, and they all fit perfectly against each other, making large screens with no visible seams!” Cihi says.

As his client enthused: “I love how they look – very dramatic, bright and striking.”
